For the first time in my life, I'm coming to Italy! I'm a 26 year old Oregonian (west coast, USA) traveling and working as a travel guide for week-long hiking and biking trips in Spain, Portugal, Peru, Costa Rica, and most recently, the USA. Like a lot of people on here, I love experiencing new and foreign places and things. I speak Spanish almost(?) fluently! And basic Portuguese. I understand written Italian .

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I pretty much maintain the philosophy that there are way too many wonderful things in this world to leave unexperienced. I believe strongly that people should see as much of this beautiful place as possible. But there's more than just seeing. The people that you share experiences with make everything just a little more magical. I'd like to meet people that can help me see new places and things and enjoy them with me.

Interests

The two main sports that I enjoy in my off-time are surfing and snowboarding, but I like a lot of other activities as well: wakeboarding, longboarding, soccer, tennis, golf, billiards, hiking, camping, rock climbing, frisbee golfing, slacklining. Generally I'm down for whatever, especially if its new to me. Doing anything active is a big win.

I am pretty proficient in Spanish, so unless your a native speaker I could probably teach you a bit! I was an Environmental Studies major so I really love discussing the world's pressing issues and ways to address them. I do also have an entrepreneurial mindset, so I really enjoy talking about new ideas and upcoming trends. From my own startup business and work I have done for others I also have experience in website design and construction, as well as marketing and business development.

Oh! And I can teach anyone how to snowboard, surf, wakeboard, skateboard, ski, rock climb. And anything else on my interests list actually.
