Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm Nick, a recent college grad starting the next chapter in my life.
Originally from NJ, I moved to California's central coast 7 years ago for college, and now I'm off to Austin, TX.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had my first experiences surfing couches in 2008 when I drove 3600 miles from New Jersey to California, staying with some people I knew and some people I didn't know. It was so refreshing to get out and meet so many open-minded, positive people, and I can't wait to do the same around Austin!
Interests
I'm big into DIY stuff. If you can pay someone to do it, I've probably tried to do it myself. My main things are cars, computers and woodworking, in no particular order.

Music, Movies, and Books
When I'm alone, I usually listen to classic rock, reggae, hip hop and alternative stuff. When I'm with someone else, I listen to whatever they're listening to. I'd much rather hear someone else's favorite beats and learn about a new sound than put on the same music I've defaulted to for the past decade.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed a mountain once! Hitchhiking from San Luis Obispo, CA to Mammoth Lakes and hiking Banner Peak was easily one of the best experiences of my life. I learned a lot about myself and other people and I wouldn't trade that experience for the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have experience in wood working, building/maintaining PCs, and basic auto repair and maintenance. I'd be more than happy to pass on whatever knowledge I can.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm very handy around the house! If you need something fixed, broken, hung, rearranged, modified, painted, etc., I probably have the tools and the know-how to get it done for you. Shoot, I'll fix stuff you didn't even know was broken.
