About Me
Hi there! My name is Nick and I'm from a really small town in the very north of the Urals currently studying in Herzen State Pedagogical University (Saint Petersburg). Even though I'm 22 years old I never traveled a lot so I admire people who did. I consider myself a fun and easy - going person. I just love to learn something new from all spheres of human life and I eager to share my knowledge with others. Some of my friends call me a chatterbox and I hope that in this word they put only positive connotation. I've never been good at filling out social media profiles so in a nutshell if you'd be interested in chatting on any topics, spending an evening in pleasant company watching a movie or just having a good time drinking beer/wine I'm here for you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been studying for 5 years now and I've never been abroad (in the way I wanted). Life became boring, the comfort zone began to influence me so one day I decided it was time to change something.
Since I love spontaneous decisions (in my opinion it is spontaneous decisions that color your life brighter) one day I decided that I would go abroad as an exchange student. I think it's time for me to practice my speaking skills, make new friends and get acquainted with the world.
So my journey begins in the U.S. (not the closest option for the first trip lol)!

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to absolutely any music but a special place in my heart is given to the 80's hits.
I love watching movies and TV shows. I can watch anything from horror to sappy romance. It all depends on the mood. But if we talk about a few genres that I prefer they are: psychological thriller, horror, drama and teen comedy.
Btw I have an IMDb app where I rate movies I've watched and I absolutely love to show my favorite ones to other people (I already did rate 477 movies and series).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I was hungry, but I didn't know exactly what I wanted. So I took everything that was in my fridge and kitchen cabinets and started mixing in the hope of creating a salad dressing that would fix the situation. And I succeeded! The dressing turned out to be questionable and I'm still not sure that it does not kill me from the inside, but even my friends liked it (one of them is very conservative in food, so I decided not to tell him about the recipe, so that he did not faint). Since then, I often make salads with this dressing, but again I'm still not sure it's safe lol.
Well, since the concept of "amazing" is relative I'll add that I can lick my elbow and pull the headphone wire through my nose into my mouth (the latter is not the most pleasant).
Teach, Learn, Share
I am studying at the faculty of foreign languages and I really want to practice my English. If I make mistakes feel free to interrupt and correct me because this is probably the only way for me to boost my English (Russian educational system sucks).
I also love to learn about the culture of other countries and talk about my own (even if I don't consider it really interesting).
