２０１６年から２０１７年まで長野県松本市の信州大学でに日本語を勉強して、５月にアメリカのオクラホマ州立大学の電子・コンピューター工学部から卒業します！夏を日本と中国で過ごし、久しぶりにたくさんの友達と遊びに行きます^^

工学オタクです！物を作るが大好きだし、私の大学にあるロボット研究会が開いた国際的なロボット大会に二回出たことがあります。もうすぐ卒業しますが、これからもその大会に出たいです。

言語を学ぶことも大好きです。今日本語、中国語（北京語）、古典ラテン語を勉強しています。一生いろいろな言語を習いたいです。外国語について話すのが好きすぎて、話しかけたらうるさいと思われるかもしれません（笑）

世界の人の考え方、物の動き方に興味があります。いつも新しいことが学びたいです！

I studied Japanese in Nagano, Japan from 2016-2017, and I am graduating from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Computer Engineering this May. I am returning to Japan this summer to visit friends across the country!

My other passion is learning languages. I am learning Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin), and Classical Latin, and I want to keep learning new languages throughout my life. I enjoy talking about this way too much, haha...

I'm interested in how people think, and how things work. I am always looking for new things to learn!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to make new friends in the course of my travels. I've traveled using hotels, guesthouses, and AirBnb, and I think that guesthouses have always offered the best experience out of those because I was able to meet interesting new people.

I think CouchSurfing should be a a great way to meet new people as well. It's time to give it a try!

旅の中でたくさんの人々と知り合いたいです。ホテルやゲストハウスやに何回も泊ったことがありますが、その中で優しくて面白い人と会うにはやはりゲストハウスが一番よかったです。

Music, Movies, and Books

マイル・クライトン が書いたようなスリラーが好きです。 ジュラシック・パークの小説がとても面白くて、それについての映画が好だった方におすすめです！

音楽は、どんなジャンルが好きなのかよくわからないです。ということは、たまに大好きなミュージシャンみたいな人の音楽があまり好きになりません。といっても、最近ポップロックバンドの「I Fight Dragons」のアルバムをよく聴いています。ジェイク・シマブクロというウクレレ奏者の音楽も好きです。彼の動画を見たら、ウクレレを習いたくなりました。

アメリアかのクラシックなロックバンドもやっぱり好きです。EaglesやBeach Boysは古いけど最高です。

日本人の歌手なら、槇原敬之やZARDやウルフルズをよく聴きます。いい聴解練習になります。

映画をあまり観ませんが、たまにするのが楽しいです。でも、大好きな映画なんてないと思います。映画よりユーチューブが好きで、"Kurzgesagt"みたいなシリーズをよく観ます。

I love thrillers, like Michael Crichton's books. The original Jurassic Park book is great, and I really recommend reading it if you liked the movie!

It's hard to say what kind of music I like. Sometimes I really like a certain musician, but don't like other musicians who make similar music. But, lately I've been listening to "I Fight Dragons", a chiptune pop-rock band. I also like Jake Shimabukuro, a musician who inspired me to start learning to play ukulele.

Of course I love the classic bands that everyone likes, such as Beach Boys and Eagles.

I also listen to a few Japanese artists, such as Makihara Noriyuki, ZARD, and Ulfuls. It is great for listening practice in Japanese!

I don't really watch movies often. It's fun sometimes, but I don't really have any that I can call my "favorite". I love YouTube, though! "Kurzgesagt" is a great series to check out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed Mt. Fuji!

Well, most of the way. Two of my friends ran out of water, so we had to stop at the 7th station. I'll go all the way next time!

…というのは、七合目まで登りました。一緒に登る友達の二人の水が無くなったので続けませんでしたが、今度はちゃんと頂上まで行きます！

母語は英語なので、英語をお教えできます！

また、もしかしてウクレレがあれば、基本的なテクニックを見せられます。あと、工学のようなつまらないことに興味があれば、そういう話も好きです！

そして、スーパーに行ってり料理する時間があるなら、アメリカの家庭料理さし上げます。ハンバーガーやステーキよりいいアメリカ料理がありますが、レストランでは見つからないと思います！

I am a native English speaker, so I will be happy to help you learn or practice English!

If you have a ukulele, I can show you some basic techniques. Or, if you are interested in boring things like engineering, I love talking about that!

Also, if we have some time to buy groceries and cook, I show you American home cooking. We eat better things than hamburgers and steaks, but you'll never find them in a restaurant.
