To meet others in foreign cities, be it local or fellow travellers, to crash couches, to share experiences and hopefully to make good people smile good smiles about good times :D
Also to host when and where I can or to offer rides or share roadtrips....... you never know who you'll meet out there and even though it sounds corny as shit, a stranger could just be a friend you haven't met yet!! mahahaha :P but really though, its a pretty good thing to remember.
