Overview
About Me
Always trying to see the world with eyes of love. I have lived in many communities and learned how to be responsible for my own actions and to keep things clean and calm.
I love activity that gets me close to the elements, skiing, sailing, riding, running etc. It is a journey for me to balance my love of adventure with my need for quiet grounding in calm spaces. I am more of a country person but I enjoy the culture of cities now and again.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to see the way travelers experience the places I know and I love to travel close to the ground, making connections and experiencing real communities.
Interests
Body movement like yoga, dance and running. Good stories and card games. I have been learning the violin/fiddle and really liking it. Horseback riding, skiing, cycling, archery. Bad jokes.

Music, Movies, and Books
Most anything ethnic, bluegrass, rock, classical. I don't enjoy country or rap, though I like hip-hop.
I definitely enjoy reading.. Places with bookshelves, dust, and sunlight are wonderful to me. Myth, folklore, fantasy, Tolkien, Rothfuss, Mathiessen. I also enjoy Lewis Carroll, Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell.
Have recently started to love a few feminist writers- Riane Eisler, Elaine Morgan
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent seven months taking care of forty wolves in the Colorado Rockies. Tipis, pine-pitch fires, mountain breezes and howls waking me from sleep translated to some kind of snowy dream. Huge national forest buffers made for interesting community living.
