About Me
Hi!
I'm an easy-going and friendly native Londoner. I still live and work in the city in which I was born and adore. I work as a data analyst for a children's mental health charity by day and am also a singer-songwriter by evening. I'm socially conscious and spend a lot of time thinking about political issues, philosophy and the general state of the world.
I have an intermittent travel bug that I feel coming back around about now!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always enjoyed travelling on my own and couchsurfing seems like a great way to make connections with local people in unfamiliar places. I always enjoy sharing the similarities and differences of mine and other's cultures. We all become richer for it.
Interests
Music music and more music. I particularly listen to a lot of folk and punk, old and new, but have a very broad taste and am always in search for new music. All suggestions welcome. I am a solo-acoustic folk/punk singer-songwriter and spend a lot of my free time singing and playing.
I am interested in politics, philosophy and social issues and am always happy talking about all the complex problems and hard questions that we face in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: 90s punk/hardcore/ska, folk (old, new, indie, latin american) I have been learning some Latin American classic folk songs as a way to practice my Spanish recently. Reggae, hip-hop, classical, ambient. I like to dance to electronic music but don't usually listen to it at home.
Movies: Anything that challenges the heart or the head. I just finished watching the Three Colours trilogy, which was amazing. Also Anchorman...
Books: The Gormenghast trilogy, anything by Ursula Le Guin or Murakami, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, a lot of fantasy and Sci-Fi, a good amount of non-fiction. I've also been enjoying the Argentinian classics (Borges, Arlt, Casares, Cortazar)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I travelled to Alaska when I was 19 and stayed with a tribe of Native Americans. We went goose hunting in the wilderness for a week. It was wonderful.
