Hi, I'm Nick (and Ashley) and we are traveling the world slowly, bouncing from one nature park to the next. We love to experience the local culture and learn about a city or area through the locals. We enjoy meeting new people, different perspectives, good conversation, food, local history, and being outdoors in nature.

I'm looking to meet people around the world with local knowledge. As I know from my home city, this is how we find the best places in the world! Learning the local cultures of areas we travel to is the best way to experience a country. Yes, seeing the sites are great, but talking, laughing and immersing yourself with the locals is how you see how a country truely ticks and the beauty is in the people.

Currently, my wife and I are on a slow/long tour of basically the world. We started in England in 2016, headed to NZ for a year, then OZ, then Asia, then Europe, America - did an 11 state western road trip, then Europe again...we don't have plans to stop anytime soon.

Intereses

I love cycling and completed a 2-month solo, self-supported cycle tour through Scandinavia in the Fall of 2015. Aside from this, I also any outdoor activities from snowboarding to trail running. For work, I am a software engineer, so I a bit of geek under all this.

Ashley is also a big outdoor enthusiast, and enjoys enjoys Skiing, Swimming, Hiking, trail Running, She has a background in museums, art galleries, and currently works in marketing.

We both are big foodies, eat healthily, are have a very active lifestyle.

I love music and worked in the business for 4 years, so I try and go out and see as much live music as possible, no matter what it is.
I tend to read a lot of health-related books about the body and how it works.

Ashley reads books about history, enjoys most movies, and music.
On the road we mainly listen to podcasts - everything from Rich Roll to Side Hustle Nation.

Friendly chat and due to some dietary restrictions - I cook a lot and make pretty decent meals! I happily offer this for hosts. We tend to eat very clean and healthy - so any and all dishes in that realm I can contribute and make.

Ashley makes guacamole and salsa if ingredients are available!
