From the center of the United States. The state of Iowa. I grew up in Marshalltown. I moved to Ames to study Anthropology and Biology and stayed for 10 years. I have been living in a vehicle and spent most of 2019 in Colorado; mostly in Boulder. I am high in Openness, introverted but travel has helped with my shyness and slowness to open up to people. I love exercise, I love exploring books, ideas, nature, culture, and crave new experiences. I love exercise and consider my fitness and health to be my most important possession and hope in inspire others to take care of their precious bodies. Love rock climbing (mostly bouldering), hiking, cold showers, overcoming discomfort. Want to learn surfing and paragliding soon.

I am finally making travel a priority. I found a great paying job and worked for months while living in my car. Now I plan on traveling the world while teaching English. I will be in Thailand in November 2019. First in Bangkok taking my TEFL course and then probably somewhere more rural.

No one is strictly good or bad, but the best parts of others can be nurtured by making them feel cared for and understood. Attempt to understand why someone has done something horrible. If you can zoom in farther on the details of a persons life, the black and white is replaced by the nuanced texture that characterizes real lives. That is where empathy, understanding, and forgiveness can replace alienation, judgement, and isolation.

I can share my time, my words, my love. I feel that I am an expert at nothing so any advice I could give or skills I could teach are all things I am still in the process of learning. That said I would love to go rock climbing, hiking, and surfing with someone. I know more about the former and less about the latter. I am here to meet others, learn, and make mistakes.
