About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn to appreciate life in the moment

ABOUT ME

I am a young, adventurous guy who wants to see the world. I am currently a student, so I am utilizing my summer vacation for travel.

PHILOSOPHY

"To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist. That is all." - €“Oscar Wilde

"I always wonder why birds choose to stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on the earth, then I ask myself the same question." - Harun Yahya

I think that most people tend to live within their own comfort zone, which then makes life boring. The best experiences of my life have come when I've stepped out of my comfort zone. At times that means being impulsive, but in the end the outcome makes it worth it. I have a thirst for life. At 23, I feel as though life is moving too fast and so I'm trying to make the most of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have stayed with other couchsurfers, but I have not yet hosted anyone. During the year, I live in a dorm room, which is not conducive to having guests. However, I hope to have guests stay with me in the future!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first experience CouchSurfing in Cali, Colombia with Dayron Wapache. I could not have asked for a better host! Dayron showed me the city and I really got to experience it fully. I had an incredible time and I'm definitely looking forward to future CouchSurfing experiences!

Interests

I really enjoy learning about other cultures and experiencing the less touristy side of other countries. I am very active, although traveling makes it hard to continue with such a lifestyle. I like going out and having a good time, but I also enjoy staying in and reading a book or watching a movie. I really love the ocean and I don't think I could ever be landlocked (which is one of the reasons why I love living in Massachusetts). Basically, I love life and I love the people who make it interesting and exciting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For the past 5 weeks, I have been in Peru. This is my first solo trip and it has been an incredible experience. So far, I have found several moments that have left me awestruck. One came when I visited Lake Titicaca. I stayed with a family who showed me such kindness and generosity, even though I was just a guest in their house. A second came when I visited Machu Picchu. I woke up at 4:30 just to be on the first bus of the day to Machu Picchu. I was awestruck by the beauty of it and the serenity of the site in the morning.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am currently in the process of learning Spanish and I can teach other what I know about both Spanish and English. At university, I am studying History and Sociology so I can provide others with the knowledge I've gained. However, mainly, I think that just meeting is mutually beneficial because each of us would be able to share our own life experiences :)
