Oi, g'day. I'm just a boy from a town called Brisbane riding his galactic steed (read: motorcycle) slowly around this planet. Always enjoyed a spot of travel, but I was at a bit of a loose end after finishing a university exchange in Shanghai and riding a motorbike around the world seemed like a good idea. Studying journalism was also giving me quite a negative view of the world so I thought I should go and see what's happening with my own eyes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've traveled throughout Asia a fair bit, mainly sticking to the backpacker trail. This time, with the freedom afforded by the bike, I can go where I want and when I want. I'm more interested in meeting local personalities this time round, seeing a slice of the world I wouldn't normally get to see.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big ol' Tolkien fan. Love Middle Earth, even had the luck to see it first-hand on a trip through New Zealand with my hectic mother.

I love documentaries and any film that makes you think. Wouldn't mind dabbling in documentary making one of these days.

I can never answer the age old question of favourite tunes, too broad a selection, and changes constantly. Always enjoy listening to something new and going out to gigs.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Not too skilled in anything in particular, but I've got a few stories to share and maybe a funny joke or two. I am an amateur motorbike mechanic so I can give you a hand with anything like that. I like cooking as well, and hopefully after a few cooking classes in Asia I'll be able to cook you up a mean feast. Aside from all that, I'm a pretty quick learner and hard worker and it would be my pleasure to help you out with anything you need.
