Overview
About Me
I'm an academic geek, lazy anarchist, enthusiastic vegetarian cook and occasional traveller. Having just finished university study I'm travelling for a few weeks before going back to enjoy the summer in Aotearoa.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've hosted couchsurfers before at flats I lived in in Wellington together with flatmates who were members of couchsurfing. I was a caretaker at a radical social centre where we regularly host travellers who want to contribute to our community projects.
Interests
Reading and talking about books. Gardening, although I haven't done nearly enough lately. Educating and challenging myself. Fighting for lost causes.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love Patti Smith, Pj Harvey, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits and an eclectic range of indie, punk, jazz...
Books: Camus and Sartre, anything by Marge Piercy, Ursula Le Guin - especially the Earthsea seris and The Dispossessed.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walking to the tip of Cape Reinga, at the very top of Aotearoa/New Zealand's northern island, Te Ika a Maui. From the track on top of the sand dunes I could see ocean to the horizon on both sides and it was so beautiful I dropped my pack and exuberantly ran down the dunes into the sea, where I was immediately knocked flat on my face by the waves!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm keen to share experiences about radical community projects. I'm especially keen to learn about pro-feminist, anti-homophobia and anti-racist organising and solidarity.
I speak English and would be keen to participate in language exchanges.
