About Me
CURRENT MISSION
We just got back from a one year sabbatical and as soon as we've settled in we'll be hosting
ABOUT ME
We left Sydney on December 1st 2010. we have taken a Sabbatical and are traveling around the world for one year.
Our first stop was the Americas:
We visisted LA, Orange County, Las Vegas, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico, Belize, Buenos Aires and Brazil. Some of the highlights were the Carnaval in Rio, learning Spanish in a lakeside village in Guatemala and snorkelling in the Caribbean
In Eary March we came to Europe:
We have visited friends and family in the United Kingdom and France, been to 3 weddings in 3 weeks in Dublin, Reykjavic and Devon and have spent 4 amazing months working and learning Spanish in Barcelona and visiting the rest of Spain at every opportunity.
On September 1st we left to travel Europe for 3 more weeks, then Jordan and hopefully Isreal, India, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong and back to Sydney on December 1st
We just love travelling, meeting new people and learning Spanish and Couchsurfing is a fantastic resource
PHILOSOPHY
Life's a beach.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Since we arrived in Barcelona in April, we have attended loads of meetings and events with different couch surfing communities.
We just learned about CS earlier this year and realise that everyone needs to contribute to make it work. In Barca we take time to show other CSs around. We don't have a couch to offer here but will start hosting as soon as we get back to Sydney in December
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have met a lot of new people and had an amazing time.
Interests
Of course we love to travel, especailly off the beaten track to developing countries and particularly to Spanish speaking countries, we love learning and speaking Spanish, visiting art galleries, food & cooking (be warned, Nick can talk about food for hours) having a few drinks, meeting new people.
Nick is a Lawyer and Rosa is a teacher BUT WE PROMISE WE ARE NOT AS BORING AS WE SOUND!
