ABOUT ME

We are very easy going and get along well with people from all walks of life. We are very friendly, hard working and enthusiastic. We enjoy traveling and socialising with good food, wine, music and most importantly meeting good people.

PHILOSOPHY

Do the best to look at life with a positive perspective because either way there will be both good and bad, perspective is the only thing you really have control over.

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

Before I met Charlotte I had only one absolutely wonderful experience couch surfing in Spain for a week, with a great, friendly, welcoming host that showed me around Mataro and introduced me to some great wines and food as we talked for hours. After me and Charlotte met we couch surfed in Canada together with an amazing couple in Calgary and also a young woman in Vancouver Island and then Charlotte couch surfed in Spain as well after that.
Although we have not been involved in much couch surfing we have both done months of volunteering through out the world through various organizations such as WWOOF and HelpX and I have also participated in a very similar organization to CS called WarmShowers in France, Spain and Potrugal. We are on Couch surfing because we feel it gives us a great opportunity to delve right into the culture and community of the place we are visiting to give us honest and raw knowledge and experiences of that place. Really people are what make the trip worth it at the end of the day!

Interessi

For me, I am a very hands on person so I enjoy fixing and/or making things, such as farming, building houses, or creating art. When I'm not doing that I like to read just about anything, cook good food, practice guitar and drums and socializing.

Charlotte enjoys traveling and meeting new people, photography, art, languages and reading. Like me she loves to laugh and make others laugh as we believe it is very important to be happy. And of course she also enjoys a good cuppa (English tea).

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Nick - Making salami from scratch in an old farming village basement in the foothills of the Dolmite Mountains in Italy with a group of elderly men for 12 straight hours in the dead of winter whilst we enjoyed homemade wine and cheese and shared laughs.

Charlotte - Experienced lamb marking in Southern Australia, swam with turtles in GBR, and hand fed a leopard cub.
