ABOUT ME

I'm a fun, easy-going 35 year old guy who is half Swedish and half American. I've spent about half my life in each place. I've also lived in London, Lithuania, Spain, and NYC. I've been lucky enough to travel quite a bit, though mainly in Europe. I love traveling and languages. I've done several different things, first working as a teacher of English as a second language in Spain, then working as a hotel concierge in New York City, and now I live in Austin where I went to nursing school and now work as a registered nurse, currently in the realm of organ transplantation.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Years ago I took a road trip through New Mexico and Arizona. I had two fantastic chouchsurfing experiences! One was with a host in Flagstaff and the other was just simply meeting up with a couchsurfer in Santa Fe who showed me the sites! I've been able to host three people in my home, and all have been good experiences. One of them returned several times! I look forward to future travel and hosting other couchsurfers!

兴趣

When I'm not working or studying, I love to check out new restaurants, cafes, and bars. I have been making soap for several years, and my soap-making business keeps me busy in my free time. I have also been running a lot lately, and I've worked to achieve medals in four full marathons and 27 half marathons. My marathon dream is to get into the New York City Marathon. I keep applying; one day I'll get in!

Austin has so much to do, and there are tons of outdoor activities I like exploring. I also love reading and music, and also like to stay in and cook. I love to experiment in the kitchen! My boyfriend and I love to check out the many hidden gems in Austin, and we also like to have a cocktail out in the backyard in the evenings where we watch the amazing sunsets here in Austin. There's also a hot tub and gas fire out there if that's your jam.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Being an exchange student in Lithuania changed me as a person probably more than any other experience. I grew, experienced new things, and met so many people who have become life-long friends.

I've visited Prague several times, and it is an entire city that just leaves you with your mouth hanging open at all the beauty around you.

My two favorite places currently are New Zealand and Iceland. Both have so much incredible natural beauty you almost can't comprehend it!
