CURRENT MISSION
To bear witness to life
ABOUT ME
How do I fit myself into this little box? I am large; I contain multitudes!
Above all things, I am curious. There are very few things I don't want to know more about (Kim Kardashian is one of them). It's what drove me into science as a career and then out of it again when I discovered how painfully slowly it moves. It's driven me to travel to over 30 countries and it drove me to move half a world away from Sydney to Berlin. I love meeting new people and learning to see the world through their eyes.
PHILOSOPHY
Just keep swimming, just keep swimming...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My old flatmates and I hosted couchsurfers in our house in Bondi Beach, Australia for six years. Trish Huerta, whom you can find on my friend list, organised most of our guests. All the surfers that have stayed with her have stayed with me as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So many incredible people stayed with us it's ridiculous. A new-age yogi. An AI expert. An SF tech star hippie. A puppy-like brit that I had to carry to bed after he passed out on the porch. A Kiwi with a giant mohawk that is now shepherding young (drunk) souls around Europe as a tour guide.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am not even going to attempt this—it's too much!
I'm currently making my way through Debt: The First 5000 Years, in which an anthropologist studies the evolution of the function of debt in societies around the world over time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Burning Man (utterly astounding). Walking the Annapurna Trail in Nepal. Climbing Uluru. Diving the Great Barrier Reef. Living in Bondi and surfing almost every day.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know lots of random things. I can probably teach you the basics of most major scientific principles. Programming and web development. The global energy industry. Living in Australia and Papua New Guinea. Surfing. Pole dancing tricks. Good books.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A good laugh, good stories, and good beer or wine. And maybe a new adventure or two :)
