About Me
Hi! I'm the type of person who likes to learn about everything! 😄 Whether it's travel, music, science, nature, or technology - it's pretty hard for to find a topic I don't enjoy chatting about. 😁 Currently working in Oslo with Climate investments and I love it! Developed a system to quantify and impact forecast and integrating this as a strategy tool for decarbonization with corporate ventures. 😍 Part co-founder of this Norsk start-up and fully embracing the active Norwegian lifestyle. 😎🇳🇴
I have a degree in Industrial Ecology from NTNU in Trondheim, Norway where I lived for two years. 🌱 It covers environmental impacts, waste management, and all sorts of saving the world kind of things 😋 Check out HudsonValleyBiogas.org to learn about a regional renewable energy initiative I'm helping to lead back home! 💦
I’m from the green and mountainous Hudson Valley in New York State. 👨🌾 Back home I enjoyed several years of farm work that included markets in NYC and a small family vineyard. 🍇 I'm a piano player and most of my work has revolved around sharing this talent for churches, parties, musicals, and local events throughout the area. 🎹 It's a very special place with one of everybody from the Woodstock hippies to the city business people. ✌️
My undergraduate studies were in Engineering Physics and Music Tech at Stevens Institute of Technology. 🎼 🔭Attending college in Hoboken right across the river from NYC was a wonderful experience with a really rewarding education. 🗽🎓
One super cool accomplishment that I'm really proud of is my online company HoneyBees911.com. 🐝🍯 It's a web service for rescuing honeybee swarms, and our network of 2,500 beekeepers covers all 50 states throughout the entire USA. 🇺🇲
In general, I feel very connected to the environment and have written over 100 adventure guides for OutdoorProject.com that are designed to educate the public and share exploratory opportunities. 🥾 Sharing my landscape photography is a passion which sometimes accompanies a video or two. ⛰️
All of these experiences have allowed me to really embrace the Norwegian outdoor culture through hiking, hyttas, and x-country skiing. 🏕️ 🛋️ Couchsurfing has certainly been a wonderful impression on my life and as I continue to travel, I hope to meet many more wonderful people and share great experiences. 😁
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hotels are cool, but I find it so much more fun to be social. I think that couchsurfing is brilliant, I've already had some incredible experiences and made lasting friends. Travel is a lifestyle and life is about who you spend it with. Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions! :)
Interests
Where to start... lots, lots, lots!
Science and Music are at my core, and I enjoy extensive discussions about them...
Reading about new technologies is always fun for me, too.
I'm all about the outdoors - Where is the closest mountain I can hike? - anything from canoeing to camping to trail running is pretty awesome.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've always been open to a wide range of musical styles and genres. I've been playing piano since first grade, and my talent has allowed me to enjoy performing everything from classical to swing to classic rock and modern pop.
Inception is one of the films on the top of my list. The matrix is also a favorite along with Lord of the Rings. I love long movies...
Last summer I read the book the Third Industrial Revolution by Jeremy Rifkin and it was a nice eye opener to our energy needs as a culture and the opportunities we have to produce more energy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In January of 2014, I filmed a Ride-Along video from New Paltz, NY to Nashville, TN for the Trailways Bus Association. My filming partner and I had a great time traveling throughout the country by bus, meeting new people, and putting together a great story. You can check out the video here: https://youtu.be/PGOmxz_gXyk :)
