About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience the joys of nature alongside mankind in harmony.

ABOUT ME

I have dreamed about traveling this wonderful planet since I was a young boy. Feeling completely enamored with amazement as I flipped through Nat Geo mags in the dentist office, I often wondered if I would ever see those images that were displayed so vividly in person and take in the majesty that this world possesses with my own senses. Growing up in a modest household, traveling was not in our family's budget. I've been to a few places with wonderful memories, but have never traveled out of the U.S. My spirit has a healthy curiosity and my heart is filled with love. I can't wait to hug a stranger on the other side of the world.

PHILOSOPHY

I have a rebellious spirit and have been met with adversity and "justifiable" consequence throughout my years. I am constantly questioning the "authority" that most put their faith in. V for Vendetta, Fight Club, The Matrix... great documentaries. Above all though, is love. It's funny how most people don't realize it but without love, humans would have gone extinct long ago. Love is one of our most basic instincts and so under appreciated in the mainstream of our cultures across the globe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am here to get a feel of this community. I plan traveling abroad to Europe next year and would like to get my feet wet here in the States before I go. Any feedback and interaction is appreciated. I have an available couch to surf on, I'm just not ready for that yet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started couch surfing 10 years ago. I lived a nomadic lifestyle for a couple years. I met some interesting and loving people who opened up their homes either to a friend or to a complete stranger they just met and I am thankful for those experiences. I can't wait to reciprocate that same energy.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Everything from southern rock to blues to heavy metal to alternative rock to singer/songwriter to folk to romantic piano concertos to looming orchestral baroque arrangements to EDM to Danny Elfman to John Williams to, well, really EVERYTHING!

Movies:
Star Wars, LOTR, Matrix, The Crow, Tombstone, anything from Tim Burton, Tarantino, too many to name...

Books:
Where the Sidewalk Ends, Where the Wild Things Are, anything Calvin and Hobbes, The Greatest Salesman in the World, The Alchemist, Charlotte's Web, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the Art of War, The Tao is Silent, Purple Cow, A Thurber Carnival, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Hobbit, LOTR, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Canterbury Tales, Animal Farm, Shakespeare, The Count of Monte Cristo, Dante's Inferno.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a 6 hour horse back ride through the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming up to a mountain top campsite. At night, I would walk up a hill that overlooked a valley and look up at the sky. The stars were so close, I felt that if I sneezed, they would all go flying off into the depths of the universe. Can't wait to see that again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach music and provide guitar lessons. I understand basic mechanical principles when it comes to cars. My biggest contribution is in the audio engineering world with 12 years experience and 4 Grammy nominations when it comes to performance and production.

I'd like to learn the piano, how to draw/paint, how to produce a film, basic photography principles and at least 4 more languages.

I'll share my heart. What more do you need?
