About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world the coolest ways possible

ABOUT ME

Hi Couchsurfers,

All it took was my first couch surf and I couldn't get over the amazing people that you meet and things you learn couchsurfing. Im from New Zealand originally but have been Vancouver since 2012, I'm having a blast in Canada!

I have spent 5 months backpacking in South America and a month in the states couchsurfing with some friends. I've met so many AWESOME people along the way.

PHILOSOPHY

To enjoy the world (people, places, cultures etc) around us and always be learning.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have done a reasonable amount of Couchsurfing while traveling and gone to a few group meet-ups which have always been fun. My couch is often available and frequently filled.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In Chile, I was lucky to be Couch Surfing during the University holidays. Therefore every student host had a lot of spare time and we often found ourselves exploring the country, adventuring and partying together. This was a great way to meet many local people, to find the right places to party and to see some things which I wouldn't have seen otherwise.

Interests

Im keen for just about anything!

My specialities in life are:
-Running
-Camping
-Bike rides
-Hikes
-Partying
-Sailing
-Cooking
-Travel
-Telling stories

But really I just like hanging out with new and old friends

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been amazed at the generosity of strangers while traveling. While hitchhiking in southern Argentina a young boy living in poverty once offered me all his savings so that I could get a bus - he didn't realize that I enjoy hitchhiking and he was doing everything to help me get a lift where I was going. I was blown away by him outreaching with all he had.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy learning to cook new meals and teaching the ones I already know. I am also a good source of engineering knowledge and computer-based help.

Really though, I enjoy discussing anything and learning while doing so.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Chile, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, New Zealand, United States
