Overview
About Me
Newborn Couchsurfer who is still working on his profile.
University student from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA studying Spanish, Spanish Art, and European Studies in Madrid at Antonio de Nebrija Universidad.
In San Diego, I study Psychology at my university. Fall Semester of 2014, I took a Child Psychology course that I absolutely loved. It inspired me onto many things such as being more compassionate to children and also adults who were once children, it inspired me to be in support of caring for children in the best way possible so they can grow up to be loved, healthy, and good human beings, and also, to someday be a good father and love it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am just finishing up my semester in Madrid and from May 23 to June 15 I will be traveling by train throughout Europe to Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, and France. I believe an experience briefly living with a local would be much more rich than at a hostel.
Cities I will be visiting this summer: Barcelona, Rome, Porto Recanati, Berlin, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Paris, Turin, and other places along the train tracks.
Interests
I have recently found a strong interest in Language learning. Although I am only fluent in one, I would like to learn a few more in my life time. Listen to Matthew Youlden speak and you will want to, too.
I am always willing to get a café con leche at an outside café in Europe on a sunny afternoon and hear about your life, laugh, be silly, be serious and contemplative, and be open and honest about ourselves all in one afternoon.
Cuddle up on any night and watch a good film with one friend at the least.
Dream with others about what the future will look like.
Reading, and reading any piece of writing may it be the smallest or seemingly trivial piece of writing. I am often inspired scrolling down Instagram and reading what others have to say about life.
Team Sports: Water Polo, Soccer (Football), Surfing, Golf, Basketball, and any other sport as long as we have a good balance of fun and competition. "Sports are a chance for us to make other human beings push us to excel." -John Keating, Dead Poet Society. And that is why I love sport.
Paris. What a lovely city.
Both hanging out with people my age and people much older than me. There is something to learn and enjoy from both.
Dream Jobs: Treehouse builder, Traveling Musician (but not by private jets or anything too flashy. A bike or a VW bus would do), a college professor who taught his students with passion, inspiration, and love for his students...
Role Models (no specific order): My mentor and former Psychology professor Tim Hall who has been significant in my life; Dietrich Bonhoeffer - German pastor, martyr, disciple of Christ, writer during WWII era; my best friends Izaac Urias, James Spaite, Simon Bell, and few others whose life and love for me inspire me to go higher; Louis Zamperini - Survivor of incredible events during WWII and follower of Jesus Christ;

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Confessed my feelings of love to a girl.
Taught personal English classes to a six-year-old Spanish kid. In the beginning, he was very indifferent and lacked interest in the class. By the end, he looked forward to the class every week, even asking if we could have class on Sundays! It was a cool thing to see a breakthrough in a kid and to see and feel a kid enjoy learning.
