ABOUT ME

My name's Nick. I'm 22. I live in Melbourne but originally grew up in the country.

I've travelled extensively but at the moment am settled down in Melbourne for work. Most recently I've been travelling in Sri Lanka and Sweden, before that I lived in Quebec for a year and travelled throughout other parts of eastern Canada and the States. Other favourite travelling spots include India, Sweden, Turkey and Pakistan.

I'm very laid back, I don't like to think I get worked up by much. I'm open minded and keen to talk with people from all walks of life and experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Although I haven't ever hosted any couchsurfers through my own profile, I've hosted several surfers in my house organised by my housemates. I've hosted people from France, Germany, the UK and Sweden.

I love the chance to meet new people and help them see my hometown (which at time can be a very expensive place to visit!) because I know how great it is to have somewhere to surf when travelling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As I mentioned above, I've hosted a number of couchsurfers here in Melbourne and in Montreal, but never through my own profile (which I haven't been bothered to set up until now!)

I've met some great people through these hosting experiences and also my times sleeping on other people's couchsurfers overseas.

Interests

I'm very interested in politics, having worked on a number of campaigns and for politicians and am now working in the union movement.

I love cooking (vegetarian), brewing beer, seeing live music, yoga (Iyengar), cycling, reading the news, going out and vegie gardening!
