About Me

I like to be in places were I feel at ease and around others that I can share with, learn from, have good deep conversations with but also make the stupid jokes and comments that come to my mind every now and then or have a spontaneous kitchen-dance with.

I'm interested in culture, people and most of all in simply having an easygoing and enjoyable time. While I like to enjoy myself, to go to parties and meet new people, I also love intimacy, the peacefulness of family life and relationships for example and enjoy being by myself from time to time.

I'm from Hamburg where I lived 18 years, but now I have moved to Maastricht in the Netherlands for my bachelor studies, which I just finished. I studied liberal Arts and Sciences, where I could basically choose freely which discipline I want to focus on during the studies. And I decided to focus on sociology and sustainable development, but also took courses in philosophy, cultural studies and politics.

Just now I am spending a semester abroad in Santiago de Chile and adterwards I will travel through Chile, Bolivia and Brasil to Rio de Janeiro.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My brother first told me about couch surfing and his experiences he had with it, which instantly made me think that this is a super nice way to get around, meet new people and dive a little into their life & culture.
And when I first visited my current home town Maastricht, I couchsurfed in a lovely student house and in the end it was more living with those lovely people in that student house then the university itself that convinced me to move to Maastricht!
