About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Have fun, learn, do good... seriously, that's a tricky question!
ABOUT ME
I lived in Mexico for a few years and moved back to Central New York two years ago. I love to travel and meet new people. I think I'm a pretty open minded person and love hearing the opinions of others, as long as I'm not expected to agree.
I work in the tourism industry and work long hours so haven't gotten to travel as much lately as I would like to but certainly like living vicariously through other travelers!
I'm a huge history nut and love showing people around local places. I think that any area can be interesting so long as you know a bit of the background and have an open mind. I'd love nothing more than to show people around Central New York, go drink a good beer, or just chat.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to read. Currently stuck on nonfiction, biographies and WWII related books.
Movies, the dumber, and less profound, I'm sorry to say, the better for me. I'll watch anything once though.
Music Music Music Music Music!!!! I love it- or at least, the vast majority of it! I play a fair amount of instruments too...piano, harp, the clarinets, the saxophones, organ...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once upon a time, before I was an anthropology student, I was coerced into spending some time in a rural Yucatec Maya village with a professor. Lived in a pole and thatch hut (chuyche) with a family that had 13 kids and 30 some grandkids, barely speaking Spanish, let alone Yucatec Maya. I obviously loved it, seeing as I went back another time and again and again!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm pretty great at finding the hole-in-the-wall, so- ugly- it's- charming places. I think it's a skill that will get me far in life...
