ABOUT ME

grew up in the usa, then moved to germany when i was ten and have been here since. i studied philosophy and art history, dropped out and am now studying art.

most of the time i am somehow involved with music and if not i am probably lying somewhere in the shade listening to it or sleeping. i do like to play sports, eat and drink and with friends, too.

i try to be conscious of what i consume and how my actions influence the people around me. amen. i like dinosaurs and almost all animals.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

mostly good experiences. so many interesting people, its always worth it. best time was in philly, i might just move in with those guys :)

Interests

watching clouds, people, nature, good bread and cheese, music, movies, art sometimes, thinking, travelling, sex, ice cream, poetry, almost any sport, finding new spaces, staying up til late and sleeping, visiting old friends and finding new ones.

jeff & tim buckley, radiohead, the xx, callers, devendra banhart, maria callas, joanna newsom, animal collective, grimes, warpaint, the black atlantic, james blake, nina simone, dirty projectors, björk, deftones, outkast, modest mouse, wild beasts, grizzly bear, villagers, jacques brel, edith piaf and even more jeff buckley. these are favorites but i like a lot of foreign traditional, classical music, hip hop, and electronic music as well. i just really don't like black metal and deutsche schlager (there are exceptions)

hmmm.. godard, fellini, jonze, gondry, kubrick, oh, no this is tough.

authors: huxley, auster...i have to read more....am a slow reader though unfortunately.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i ran over a rat with my bicycle. it kept on twitching but i was bearfoot so i didnt want to crush it. i contemplated riding over it with my bike again. luckily it stopped twitching before i could make up my mind.

teach: some instruments/singing to a certain extent. photography technique. how to win a rocks-paper-scissors fight. how to make a 'super-toast'. german and english.

learn: how to meditate. how to not have back pain anymore. probably anything else too.
