Overview
About Me
Ever since my first, unexpected trip to Brazil when I was 12 I've been dreaming of traveling the world. I love meeting people, discovering new ideas, cultures and places.
After graduating university I took a long trip through South America, starting at the World Cup in Brazil and working our way up to Colombia, documenting the journey and making videos for Breaking Borders.
I am an visual artist and aspiring beatnik. I love dense urban cityscapes and the great outdoors.
In 2021 I drove my van from San Francisco to Key West with my partner Thais, from Brasil. We were on the road for 5 months and explored many amazing places.
I wrote a book about the journey, including lots of photos, maps, and stories, called Highways Less Traveled: A Van Journey Across America

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've met so many amazing people on CS. I really enjoy hosting people and showing them my city. It is a great way to transform into a traveler in my city and look at it through a new lens. I love exploring big cities and getting to know them from the local perspective. I feel the most comfortable in cities where I can blend in like a local and just walk around discovering new places. There is always something interesting to do, see, eat and photograph.

Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share my yearning to learn about the world, discover new music, talk travel and filmmaking.
“If I’m an advocate for anything, it’s to move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. The extent to which you can walk in someone else’s shoes or at least eat their food, it’s a plus for everybody. Open your mind, get up off the couch, move.”
― Anthony Bourdain - RIP
