About Me

Hello, world!

I am a human being like anyone else. I eat vegetables. I am enthusiastic about the indoors. I can hold really long conversations about practically nothing. I can also juggle and hold a handstand.

I enjoy meeting others and learning from their experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I've always wanted to give back to the world around me. I want to find new ways to do so which interest me.

I really want to travel more, but I have higher priorities at the moment. So, I figured I could do the next best thing: host travelers.

Interests

I think I have some pretty interesting interests:

- Biking (& Bike Commuting)
- Reading (fiction and non-fiction)
- Video games
- Software development (fine, I'm a nerd)
- Meeting people & intimate conversations
- Dancing (I'm actually not bad)
- Veganism
- Making lists

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My proudest accomplishment is a little nerdy. I built a really simple website that helps people download text-to-speech audio clips generated from Google Translate.

You can actually check it out: http://soundoftext.com

I'm mostly proud of it because of the reach it has had. It currently serves about one thousand people every day. I've found blog articles about it. When the site goes down, I get an email just about every hour from someone new.

It's really great to have helped so many people.

Please include the weirdest thing you've eaten in your request to prove you've read my profile.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
- Software Development
- Veganism

Learn:
Anything you want to teach me! I'm a sucker for knowledge.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Computer knowledge. Everyone has that one device that's broken.

Cleaning. There is something really relaxing about making something clean again.

Curiosity and a smile. I've been told that I'm a good listener.
