About Me
CURRENT MISSION
When someone tells me they're traveling anywhere, I want to reply
"Yeah, that's a beautiful country, I have a few friends there!"
ABOUT ME
I grew up in a small town in Connecticut. In 2008, at 23 years old, I moved to Los Angeles to work my way into the music industry.
My goal since I was a young kid was to travel around the world with a rock n roll band.
I now spend about 9 or 10 months a year touring. I have been to all the biggest festivals and have traveled to 33 countries so far!
I love meeting new people and travelers when I'm on the road, and I still love it when I come home.
On breaks in between tour....I TRAVEL, hahaha. I choose a part of the world that I normally wouldn't go with a rock band, and I go there with my backpack.
I am a full blown travel addict!
PHILOSOPHY
I fit my entire life into a backpack. I do not desire material things like a huge TV or brand new car. I prefer experience. I spend my money on good trips ,good food or a great show. Something I can remember forever.
I want things that I can share with other people, and I want to be stimulated by new sights and different cultures.
Aside from my motorcycle in L.A., I don't really have alot of "stuff"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At this point, I've only worked on being a great host. Hearing stories and learning about THE REAL WAY to travel. I'm hoping to take advantage of some open couches this year and become a surfer myself :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had 6 or 7 couchsurfing experiences now and they have all been amazing! Unique and enlightening. Everyone I've met has been super grateful and polite and we've had alot of fun around LA. I enjoy being a fun host!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is my whole life. It makes me feel so many different emotions and brings me back to very specific places in the past.
90's alternative/grunge bands & classic rock specifically. Too many names to list.
Been reading alot lately, which is something I didn't do for many years. It feels great to be lost in a good book, especially one that changes the way look at things:
"Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance"
"Celestine Prophecy"
Kurt Vonnegut
William Burroughs
Hunter S. Thompson
"Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test"
Also a big fans of biographies
For movies I love a good thriller. Those mind-fucker kind of films that have you completely turned around in the end.
Big fan of Coen Bros, too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The RV roadtrip of 2008…... 36 US states in 5 months.
Warpaint world tour 2013-2015…. 29 countries in 18 months.
250+ shows.... 50+ of those were festivals!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching, learning and sharing comes naturally on the road. When you meet people out there its only natural to discuss your travels and pass on valuable information. It's great conversation and it allows both parties to have the upper hand on insider info.
It also creates friendships, and in some cases, causes people to change plans and begin travelling along a different road with their new friends!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Exposure to different music & cooking are two things I can always offer.
Also, I always give away my books when I'm finished,. If the timing is right, you could end up with something to read.
Oh yeah, also, people say I'm a pretty fun guy ;)
I like to party, and stuff :)
ALWAYS respectful above all else, and always able to be compatible with my hosts lifestyle.
