One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The glitter of lamplight from a hundred tiny fishing boats on Lake Tanganyika. It was 4 o'clock in the morning, deep in the heart of Africa, 100km from the nearest road and we were climbing into a boat to cross the Burundi-Tanzania border with 80 people who hadn't seen white people in over 3 months. Pure explorer magic.
