About Me

CURRENT MISSION

LIVE, be happy and see as much as I can.

ABOUT ME

I left for a quick trip in the US and ended up coming back home 7.5 years later. Visited every continent and 91 countries on the way. I have been back home for 4.5 years now focusing on discovering every corner of North America and doing a few trips back to Europe here and there.
I still fly 200+ times a year and I am still in search for the unique experience. I just do it a little differently. There is still a big trip left in me. I am still in love with traveling as much as I was when I was 17 years old.

Other than that, I am an Irish born Canadian who has two degrees, I am not using. I covered two Olympics and one Pan Am torch relay. I am enjoying life and I am all about experiences and moments you will remember for the rest of your life. Oh yeah, I love a good night out and a pint in an old-school pub.

So what’s up for me now?

I don’t know! Though questions. Going to Toronto, New York City, Vancouver, Whistler, Manchester, London, Lisbon, Lagos and Faro in the next six weeks. After that, we shall see!

PHILOSOPHY

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness. Mark Twain

The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page. St. Augustine

The use of traveling is to regulate imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are. Samuel Johnson

Not all those who wander are lost!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Took me forever to give couchsurfing a go, but trying it was the best decision I ever made! I am just back from a long break and looking to add to my 175 surfing experience.

Just back in Montreal. I have a little more space than I used to, so I will be hosting this summer.

Interests

Have you ever felt like you are interested by too many things to do the same job and live the same life for 40 years? It’s kind of how I feel. I am a simple guy who loves music, traveling, sports, a good pint and having good people around.

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up a fan of 90s music. Lately, I am very big into new country. Again, I love music and would listen to about anything from techno to early 2000 hip hop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many little things are amazing, but I was lucky enough to travel for 7+ years and be paid to do so. Visiting 91 countries and run with the Olympic flame twice was pretty damn cool.

Teach, Learn, Share

Another hard one to answer. Kind of good at a lot of things, not great at much. I have wicked stories to share though.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Andorra, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Belize, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Mexico, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Senegal, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City State
