Overview
About Me
I am the middle child of four brothers. I study English (very ready to be done with school) at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. I enjoy watching movies from all over the world and from all different times. I like to read science fiction, philosophy, religion, and self-improvement. I am an amateur filmmaker, having directed and written 5 short films and 1 documentary (about a trip to Trinidad & Tobago, link below). I also like swimming.
I am traveling because I want to meet new people in unfamiliar places and eat unfamiliar things. All this in order to grow myself as a human being.
My current philosophy for life is to say "Yes" more often and do the things that I fear most, this to me is the only way to live a fulfilling, meaningful life. I am very relaxed and amiable (I've been told that I'm an "old soul" by six different people). I like to have fun, explore, and make new friends, and occasionally go off on my own for some quiet contemplation. Also I have a very goofy sense of humor.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing seems like the best way to get integrated with local culture and the best way to meet new people. It is also a great way to find out about the rare gems that most people do not know about in the places that you visit.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I like Radiohead, Fleet Foxes, Foster the People, Iron & Wine, Lord Huron, and anything I can dance to.
Movies: I like Wes Anderson movies, Coen Brothers movies.
I love the science fiction novels of Philip K. Dick. I've also been reading a fair amount of esoteric/religious philosophy (don't worry, I won't make you talk about it).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wrote, directed, edited, and produced a 15-minute short film. This was a defining moment for me because of all of the unfamiliar things I had to learn to do, mainly speaking with people that I'd never met to see if they wanted to help out.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good humor and good company.
