About Me

I moved back to my hometown of Seattle last year after living in NYC and then the small town of Port Angeles, WA. Before that I was traveling in Central and Eastern Europe, where I met so many generous and unique people through Couchsurfing.

Traveling in Mexico City, Guanajuato, and Puerto Vallarta December 12-27, 2019 with my girlfriend Kelsey, a chef, student, and avid gardener originally from Portland, OR.

Grew up in the South End of Seattle. I went to film school at Chapman in Southern California for a little while but I did not like it there so I left - studied abroad in France, then transferred to The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.

I'm currently editing an experimental horror feature film I wrote and directed called Skagit, set in Washington's Skagit Valley. We shot the film last year with an all-local crew on a very low budget and plan to have it done early next year. It's been a fulfilling and very challenging process and has been the main focus of my life for the past couple years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been amazed by the hospitality of people I've stayed with through Couchsurfing and I love the opportunity to meet new people and learn from them.

Interests

I've always wanted to make movies, even though I've gone through times of uncertainty. Have played guitar for years and I love many different genres of music. I love eating new food, good beer, wine, and coffee. I love to explore neighborhoods on foot, whether it is the one I grew up in or a place I have never been. I was a tour guide in Seattle and currently host trivia and I can tell you many interesting, unexpected facts about the history of Seattle and Washington State!
