About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I hope to learn as much as I can about the world and improve upon myself both physically through running, climbing, and yoga and mentally through practice and surrounding myself with good people.
ABOUT ME
I was raised a Texan, educated as a Denverite, and an educator as a Buffalonian.
I am a Special Education teacher in Buffalo, NY I've taught 7th grade in the past and working with a High School Horticulture program currently. I love working with kids and helping them see outside their current lens of life, expose them to the world, and help them realize their potential to achieve great things.
The outdoors, mountains, and forest are where I feel the most at peace, but I do love wondering a big city and getting lost in them. Of course doing these things with friends is great, but also grabbing my dog, Chewy, and hitting the trails is a great thing too
I'm one to throw a bag in the car and drive somewhere new (or back home to Texas). This past summer was packed with 7000 miles and 10 states. Always looking for new cities to visit and friends to make.

Interests
Currently, the main things that surround my life is work (as a high school teacher), school (graduate school), and running. I also spend a lot of time playing chess or coaching students in chess. If I am not at school I'm probably about to run, in the process of running, just finished running, or talking about running!
The the other spare time I have I enjoy cooking alone, with my dog, or with friends a lot of which ends up in my classroom; feeding kids who want to stay in my room for lunch (and play chess).
