About Me
Please note** I'm living in a remote area of Tassie. To get here it's 4hrs by car from Hobart and 2l3 from Launceston. Much as I'd love to, I can't pick you up from the airport so you'll probably need a car 🙂
I'm an adventurous traveller who's just returned to my beloved Tasmania (Australia) after living in Kuwait for the past two years.
I'm not really into the whole "visit a country as a tourist" thing.. i love immersing myself in the culture, learning the language and hanging out with the locals. I can't think of anything more cool than seeing a country through the eyes of someone who has lived there and expats. I'm outdoorsy so anything out in nature appeals (WHY Kuwait you say?) including hiking, fishing, kayaking. I'm a big foodie and love learning about different cultures through food and it's a pleasure for me to sit down and eat the food traditional to a region.
Being an Aussie, I can be loud but am always easy going with an irreverent, sarcastic humour.
I love the nature in Australia and I am really lucky to have relocated to the wild and woolly west coast of Tasmania. The scenery here is truly gorgeous; world heritage listed wilderness that can only be described as God's backyard.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Having been a homestay parent in Australia I know the importance of welcoming people to your country and into your home. I think couch surfing is an awesome way of sharing cultures, encouraging travel and learning about other ways of life. A good couch surfer invites strangers into their home and embraces them as lifelong friends and family. Show your country, share its amazing beauty, architecture, heritage and culture and learn something new. Make new friends you can go visit!

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to share and name. At the moment I'm trying to learn Arabic so the book of the moment is Arabic phrases and pronunciation.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done so many amazing things. 1 amazing thing I did was run self defense workshops in Kuwait for women to raise awareness about violence in this culture. Travel wise, I've climbed mountains, scaled waterfalls, participated in mud runs, fished in the Persian Gulf, partied in Bahrain and ticked Petra off my bucket list!
Teach, Learn, Share
Share cultures and get a better understanding of people. The more we learn about each other the more we realise how alike we are. I'm an enthusiastic tour guide and passionate about our lifestyle!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My humour definitely! My shared love of travel and connecting with fellow travellers.
