ABOUT ME

My flatmate told me to write: I am long and thin, so there it is :-)

I have been a member of Hospitality Club for a while and I finally decided to join couch surfing as well. I am very enthusiastic about hosting people, guiding them in Edinburgh or just helping in general. I also love to travel (as most of us here I guess).

I am very curious in general, always eager to learn. Because of my background maybe, I am very much concerned about the environment and nature in general. I am a nature guide in Belgium and love to share knowledge and learn more. Likewise, I love languages and always am learning a new one or improving another one.

PHILOSOPHY

I used to have big dreams... not saying I don't have dreams any more, but as I get older my dreams get simpler: have a nice house in the country, have some kids to play football with (even if they are girls ;-)), live in nature, share good times with my friends...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope to host many people here in Edinburgh or just offer them a cup of tea (with or without milk :-)), or Belgian beer as I'm trying to keep a small stock in my flat.

I have just moved in a great flat (very central, with a fantastic view over the whole city) with my partner: we will give priority to people looking to stay in Edinburgh (unlike some other members I think this is really important, this is how I found a flat in Edinburgh myself!), and mature people: we are getting old (sad I know) and are no longer party animals... though we enjoy a nice conversation with a couple of glasses of wine :-)

Intereses

In general: Nature, languages, travelling, maps, comic books, movies, biking, hiking, jogging and sports in general.

At the moment: Bird watching, Portuguese, Ceilidh (traditional scottish dances), Hiking in Scotland, World Music and Salsa dancing are my current interests.
