About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy not having a mission.

ABOUT ME

I've been living in Berlin for 2 years now, and continue to enjoy mingling with the special mix of folks you can find here.

Being here has helped me to change my priorities and put more focus into enjoying experiences rather than building a career.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm still working on this... and probably always will be. I find that conversation isn't always the most effective, but it's certainly the most accessible means for developing your philosophy - I like to talk/listen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I've only acted as a surfer but I hope to be a host some day.

I couch surf to get insights that are easily missed at hostels. So far I've had excellent hosts in LA and San Francisco who have made my CS experience amazingly fun and memorable.

I've also stayed with Ken and Ritch in Dresden. I received royal treatment from these guys, and a tour of Königstein thrown in as well!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Wade and Sunny from LA were my first couch surfing experience, and will be tough to top! The guys have a lot of love and pride for LA and life in general, and they made my stay there one that I won't soon forget. If the guys don't come to visit me in the near future, I'll definately be heading back to annoy them!

Interests

Revealing conversations that help one or all participants to grow. I get a real kick out when I realise I'm sharing things with people I've just met that I might not share with my best friends! It's therapeutic!

Music, Movies, and Books

The best books I've read recently were the "a song of ice and fire" novels by George RR Martin. I normally don't care for fantasy books, but these are moreso built on characters and high drama, which ticks my boxes...

My favourite TV show of all time is 6 Feet Under.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw the 6 Feet Under house in LA!

Teach, Learn, Share

I've taught private guitar lessons in my hometown - Coffs Harbour NSW, and love to teach/jam with any musician.

I'm also a qualified TESOL teacher and am privately studying the German language.
