I climb trees and I'm trying to dismantle some of the bullshit in the world by getting deep into politics.. but most of the time rather tackle the world with a hammock and bottle of wine in hand.
I'm a playful kind of person who lives for exquisite music, meeting interesting people, and strongly believe in how important it is to appreciate the little things in life that we sometimes take for granted.

I love (good) comedy, cooking, dancing, dancing, a solid rave, getting "the shot" (photography), being under a waterfall, the treasures at the end of cool graffiti, and hope to become a burner in the near future.

I've been jiving with a lot of anarchist-socialism lately, but I appreciate a good rationale for what anyone believes. Definitely an advocate of intersectionality - the world could use it and a heap of empathy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The sharing economy is where it's at - another way of undermining the profit-driven travel industry - it shouldn't cost heaps of money to find great people while we travel, and I'd rather live in a more trusting and welcoming world where this is the norm (and sometimes we meet that one lifechanging couch
). I've only heard good things from my couchsurfing friends and had awesome experiences doing it in the past. There's nothing like living like a local, and no amount of time reading trip adviser will give you a candid sense of which rocks to turn over.

My top artists at the moment are Nicolas Jaar, Acid Pauli, Aphex Twin, Ettiene de Crecy, Polo & Pan, Red Axes, ANNA, H09909, Kate Tempest, Red Snapper, Jack White, Death From Above, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard (basically, techno, house, jazz, punk, and disco).

I'm addicted to live music and my list of shows is becoming pretty extensive - usually aim for the front row with my camera too :)

Anywho, I'm really into the legendary George Carlin, Louie C.K., Nathan Fielder, Hannibal Buress, Eric Andre, Kids in the Hall.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've ran around Russia in a Pussy Riot shirt; road around Ghana and Cuba on motorcycles; hungout with famous Cuban musicians; WWOOF'd in the manor where Ian Flemming grew up (the guy who wrote James Bond); was raised in a small town Canadian Bed & Breakfast; was born in a bathtub; climbed a glacier in Iceland. lived in Finland for a year; lived in Norther Quebec for a summer to learn French.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to fence, cook, photograph, make rad cocktails. Fencing post-cocktails is how best friends are made. The nexus of the three are ideal.
