About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Nicolas; I’m a Chilean-Spanish currently working as an economist in Barcelona. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I moved from Santiago de Chile to Barcelona almost seven years ago to study. Since then I’ve lived also in Madrid and Zürich and traveled a bit around Europe. I’m a fan of history and traveling around this continent has been a delight in that sense. On the other hand, I also enjoy to go outside and enjoy nature. Swimming in the river, camp in a national park or do a hike around the mountain.

Also, I have a couple of hobbies that I happy to share with any host. The one I enjoy the most is card magic, which I have been practicing for a while. I always pack my cards, so perhaps you could be in for a small show :).

Nevertheless, I’m fluent in English and Spanish, while I can also speak a bit of French and German.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined couch surfing for meeting people while traveling. In my opinion, to really know a place it’s better to share some time and get advice from local people. Moreover, they tend to give you a more clear picture of the country and the possibilities.

Interests

Right now I’m interested in getting to know new places around Europe, and I’ll probably spend part of my summer travelling around. I hope to meet new people on each place, practice magic and make music, and hopefully learn something new.

Music, Movies, and Books

I think I have a broad taste in music. For playing guitar I mostly like rock and roll and even some reggae. Those are also good for dancing, and also techno, salsa, regaetton (yes indeed) or old-fashion stuff such as swing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moving to from Chile to Europe!

Teach, Learn, Share

I studied politics, economics and philosophy and I can talk for hours about these topics. we can also make some music or I could show you some magic!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer interesting and pleasant conversation, cooking skills and, perhaps the most impotant thing, a good mood :).

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, France, Mexico, South Africa, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
