About Me

ABOUT ME
Curious, easy-going and proactive. Born in Buenos Aires (Argentina), I lived in different cities across Europe in the last few years. My main professional interest is theatre, or performing arts in general. I am interested in direction, design and other production aspects. I've been working on this for 9 years now and i try to keep myself busy, learning and discovering from different cultures. Travelling is something i became addicted to. I moved a few times and visited many places. Food is very important to me, wherever i am. I care about what i eat and i try to keep my diet as diverse as possible. I can enjoy a good wine or a cold nice beer.

CURRENT MISSION
At the moment, i am touring internationally with a theatre play (featuring some incredible mechanical puppets!). On this trips, my goal is to connect as much as possible with the people in the places we visit. I want to live these cities intensely, meeting local people and making the most out of every day. Even though i work long hours, i manage to have some time off to go out and explore. When i get a few days off, i try to travel a discover other cities.

I want to try all that food that tourist ignore, a beer at your local bar and have a laugh with someone i never planned to meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Through the years, i've been guest and host to many incredible people. This not only made me enjoy the cities immensely, it also change my paths and decisions. I truly believe in sharing and communicating. I want to keep myself openminded, I want to question what i think and know. Every person is an opportunity to grow, learn and discover. In times when thing are so polarised, i am interested in those grey areas where very different people can talk and understand each-other.

Interests

I am really interested in all forms of culture, history and architecture. I like experiencing places, paying attention to the images and listing to what people have to say.

I take some pictures sometimes, nothing serious. I don't have a great camera and i am not a photographer. I just like images a lot. If you want to follow a bit or what i see, my Instragram account is:

Music, Movies, and Books

I am not a musician myself, but music really keeps me going. I've been making some playlist while travelling and discovering sounds through the people i met. You can play those:

I enjoy movies a lot. I specially enjoy movies that make me think or question things. I like to discover directors from all around the world and movies that i would never have got to.

At the moment one of my main goals is to read more. I like it, but the truth is that i do it less and less. Now i am trying to make the time if it doesn't exist. I have millions of books but just a few i actually finished. I need to work hard on this. Lately, I've been much more interested in history or theory books rather than fiction; but i think is just a phase, like watching documentaries (i am also on that phase).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived, volunteered and worked 8 months in a contemporary art museum and sculpture park in Belgium. While living there i had own container home and met loads of incredible people from around the world. During this period of time, i completely disconnected from the outside world and lived a surreal experience. Every day was different, unique and infinite. It's hard to explain or share this experience through words, but this experience really changed me as a person. Every day, there were people arriving, leaving or visiting. Sometimes 5, sometimes 30 people; artists, technicians, friends, volunteers and visitors, we all worked and eat together. Mix of languages and cultures in one place with one mission. It's almost impossible to describe it accurately, but i have some hundreds of stories to share from those days.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn: everything. I am curious about the way things work, all sorts of things. If it's useful for life, i'll love to learn it.

Teach: i don't know how much i can actually teach, but i can share the things i do (and the few ones i actually know how to). I'll be happy to show you how to prepare some meals you might not know. I met loads of incredible artists from all around the world and I am sure you might find some of them pretty cool. If you are learning Spanish or English, i will be happy to practice with you. I like making and fixing all sorts of things; maybe there is something we can work out together.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Everything really! I really enjoy meeting people, specially those who are very different to me. I look forward to sharing a meal i never tried before, or cooking something you never had before. I want to discover more music, visit the places where you spend time at and meet your friends.
I can share my experiences about the places i lived in, or the cities i travelled to. I can cook some food from my home country, Argentina; but i also learned to make food of other places i lived in. I would love going to see some theatre or cinema and discuss it afterwards.
Everything i do is better if i share it.
