About Me

CURRENT MISSION

¿Encontrarla en el camino?

ABOUT ME

I have known each other for eight years (or even before we were born). We grew up and have lived in a big city -Buenos Aires-, a beautiful place, but we feel we are losing contact with reality and nature here sometimes. This is why we love traveling, so we can visit smaller cities and get to know people and places better.

PHILOSOPHY

La vida es aleatoria!!! Lúdica, absurda, sin sentido. Buscamos la lógica en lo irracional.

----
Life is pure randomness!!!!!! It's ludic, absurd, non-senseless. Looking for logic in the irrational.

Interests

Tantas cosas!!! A ver...

----
So many things!! Let's see...
-Architecture, books, languages, cultures, music, books, philosophy
-Biology (we love animals and plants, I (Juli) specially love koalas and sheep, so if you are one, you're definitely welcome in our life ;)
-Poiltics (socialism, communism, anarchism), sleeping (Nico says I'm a walrus)
-Food an cooking (Nico is a great cook, I'm a lucky girl), vegan/vegetarian food (I'm a former veggie, would love to go back to the green times)
-Gender issues, aboriginal issues, animal rights

We wanna make clear that we are no party-animals. We'd rather go with you to a quieter place where we can talk, show you nice views and know each other better. So if you are looking for the crazy night life here at Buenos Aires, we won't be of any help to you :(

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
-We LOVE music and our tastes are very wide: grunge, punk, alt-rock, reggae, jazz, classical, tango, and
argentinian folklore music. We can share with you some great artists from Argentina!!

Books/Authors:
- Some great "ríoplatenses" (from Argentina and Uruguay) authors: Cortázar, Alejandra Pizarnik, Oliverio Girondo, Eduardo Galeano, Felisberto Hernández. And many many more!
I am an English-Spanish Translator, so I love english literature.
I would love to know more authors from Oceania, South Africa, and any english-speaking countries. I enjoy fiction and non-fiction books (specially love short stories and tales) by authors from ANY country (as long as they are translated into Spanish or English)

Movies: Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, Juno, Adventureland, Hard Candy, Yuki et Nina, L'illusionniste, Into the Wild, Eternal sunhine of the spotless mind, Goodbye Lenin!, Before Sunsent/Before Sunrise, Kusturika films, Herzog films, anything by Pixar, Truffaut filmography, Made.in.USA (Peruvian film);
Argentinian movies we recommend: La Tigra Chaco; XXY, Nueve Reinas, Garage Olimpo (if you're interested in our tragic 1976-1982 dictatorship), and we might suggest many many more!!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Machu Picchu - Salar de Uyuni - Aconcagua mountain - A breath-taking starry night at Lago Traful, Patagonia -

Haven't done many amazing or adventurous things yet.

I sometimes feel like a four-year-old, easily amused and amazed at the most insignificant things going around us.

Teach, Learn, Share

--------------
We can teach you some Spanish and English, some tasty recipes (it would be great if we could cook together), we both play guitar and I am also starting to sing.

We suck as dancers, but I am interested in African dances.
Nico wants to master the art of juggling four balls, not only three :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Cuba, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, United States, Uruguay
