I am a 21 year old (2017) Kiwi still living at home, located in East Auckland (which puts us on a peninsula, with several local beaches not but a five minute drive away). We have easy access (but long - one hour on the bus, 15 minutes by car) to the CBD (also are local to a 30 minute ferry ride to the CBD), and are twenty minutes drive from the nearest train station. I am dying to get travelling, myself, and am very keen to use the couch surfer network on my travels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This will save me a whole lot of cash and enable me to meet locals where I go. Some travellers are happy to stay in touristy accommodation, take photos of things everybody else has photos of too, back home, and see the same sights. Personally, I'd rather travel by the back road, discover what locals do, walk off the beaten track, and immerse in the cultures and homes of locals.

Interests

I dance, (at the moment: Latin), and am interested to try the native dance of the places I end up visiting. (They even pulled me up on stage to teach me the hula, in Hawai'i!)
