Overview
About Me
I'm Nicola, a student of Eastern Europe that is really fascinated with the Balkans, their culture, tradition, history and, of course, music. That's why I started as soon as I could to travel around that area of the world, first in Romania for a whole year and then all over the peninsula. That also explains the reason why I chose to focus my master degree over Eastern Europe.
Other than that, I love nature and to walk. These interests, in particular, create an insane combination that brings me to very long trips around the mountains only equipped with my tent or hammock, or to unpredictable hitchhiking journeys.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always been interested to meet new people, know their opinions, share my ideas and listen their stories. I truly appreciate cultural interchanges, because they always enrich the human being and are able to open even the closest mind. That's why I love to travel and to host travellers: because of the mutual enrichment that can only spring from the human touch. Moreover, I can't deny that I like to visit unfamiliar and different places from the ones I'm used to.
