About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel the world, meet new people, go on adventures, and have fun :)
ABOUT ME
I was born in South Germany, and used to live in Paris (France), in Auckland (New Zealand), in New York City (U.S.), in Karlsruhe and Heidelberg (Germany) during my studies.
I am now a research associate at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and at the Heidelberg University, working in the field of medical engineering.
Besides studies and work I travelled many parts of the world. I'm interested in nature and all sorts of outdoor-activities, sports, hanging out with friends, and so much more...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I enjoy having people at my place and showing them around in the area that I know best.
In return I travel a lot myself, too, and enjoy being someone else's guest, which always is an amazing experience.
Hence, I hosted, I surfed, and of course I attend the local CS-Meetings every now and then.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I always had good times travelling, and can't wait to hit the road again!
Being with new people in new places gives you a look at their lives, even though under normal conditions you wouldn´t even have looked closer at the people themselves. I hence often think it is great that - despite of the fact that we live and grew up thousands of kilometers apart - we are still so similar :)
Interests
Travelling the world, backpacking, exploring, meeting new people and adventuring new places, nature, cities, hiking, trekking, climbing mountains, jogging, practicing wing-tsun kung-fu, playing the guitar, chilling out in the park, having fun with friends, philosophizing, chatting, reading, cooking, eating, and taking life easy whenever possible :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The vast and lively plains of Serengeti in Tanzania, the ethereal white nothingness of Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, the concrete jungle of New York City's skyscrapers, the friendliness, hospitality and openness of the local people in the Tibetan Himalayas, the millions of colours of urban or rural markets in India, the taste of a traditional Black Forest Cake in Germany, or just a cup of freshly-brewed coffee in a cozy street cafe... :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I already had many many wonderful guests before officially joining CouchSurfing and hope this will go on alike. I share my knowledge - be it on engineering or on travelling and adventures all around the world.
My contacts really broadened my horizon in the most positive way.
