Overview
About Me
I'm born and bred in the North East of Scotland and have spent the majority of my life in Aberdeenshire, aside from a short spell where I studied in Paris.
I've always been interested in travel and languages and I love meeting new people and exploring new cultures. The older I get the more addicted to travel I become! My best friend and I do several trips a year, usually long weekends in Europe but never to the same country! Our goal is to reach 60 countries before we turn 30. My life goal is to see as much of the world as I can, making new friends and memories along the way!
I worked in the oil and gas industry for 9 years and I got fed up of living the office life...so I quit, booked a Round The World ticket and I left the UK in August 2018.
I'm currently travelling round the world and will stop in 30 countries before returning home to the UK next year!
I'm well on my way to conquering 60 countries and am already planning future trips whilst on the road!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Marvel movies, rom coms, action, sci fi and comedies.
I don't watch much TV as I prefer to listen to music when i'm home. I like most genres of music but tend to listen to charts, acoustic, alternative...
I don't often spend time reading these days as I do a lot of it during the day at work but when I do I like anything light hearted and easy to read. I tried reading Amazon's top 100 but there are so many classics in there and I just find them boring...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I cycled 365 miles from London to Amsterdam in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity and Cystic Fibrosis Trust in 2017, raising over £6k
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm keen to learn new languages and always try to pick up the basics when I'm on holiday - please, thank you etc.
I have been to a lot of places and would be more than happy to share some stories of my experiences with you!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've lived in Aberdeenshire pretty much all my life and l know the surrounding areas and other parts of Scotland pretty well! I could take you to some local sights such as the castles, beaches and rolling hills of scenery! The nightlife in Aberdeen isn't as good as perhaps Glasgow or Edinburgh but there are some good bars and restaurants I could recommend! I'm also a not bad cook and I have a nice size house to share!
