About Me
Hi all, friends usually call me Jay, and you should too!
I share my flat with Massimiliano, we both just agreed to start this couch surfing experience, so I'll add a description of my best buddy as well.
I'm a sort-of-part-time student in philosophy, waiter, I program video games in my free time and do a few graphic advertising commissions every now and then. Here's a few things i love:
books and writing, good music (but definitely you will never see me dancing, ha-ha), honest chatting (a.k.a. trying to grow up interacting with people), good wine(a glass or two, occasionally i won't mind drinking a few more, oops!), new experiences, food and cooking (yeah, I'm the kind of italian who'll gladly cook the best amatriciana of your entire life), video games and technology (I'm one of those nerdy guys, even though i don't look that geeky), art (but I'm picky), good times with friends (i swear not all of them are nerds), wasting time purposefully, movies (but I'm picky).
I can look a bit extravagant with my fancy shirts and piercings all around my body, but I have been described as a quite nicely polite kind of guy. I like to get along with different people and I love hearing stories, most of all the pearls everyone has to share about his or her own life.
About Massimiliano, my best buddy:
he's the nicest guy you could possibly read of in medieval novels. A model student (philosophy as well, ha ha. Did I mention we also work in the same restaurant as waiters?), passionate reader, a beautiful mind to be in contact with. You'd be so lucky to find him in the mood of showing Bergamo around, he is just an awesome guide and will make you enjoy all the secret non-touristic places around here.
He is a caring host much more than I am, and I don't mean that I don't care about hosts (I do, obviously!) but he has an eye for things I sometimes miss.
So this is the two of us!
Oh, forgot to mention we do smoke quite regularly, but our many windows will always be open so hopefully it won't be a serious issue for non-smokers!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Me and Massimiliano have a lot of different reasons.
One reason we share is karma, meaning: if we have some room for someone who might need it for a few days, then why not sharing?
Another is that I love meeting people from around the world and, if we get along well, why not, go visit them!
Massimiliano is also currently working on his english, and this is the perfect way to mix duty and fun.
Interests
See the 'about me' section above!
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm into different authors in terms of books.
Some of my favorites are Hesse, Bukowski, Douglas Adams, Asimov, Herbert, Dostoevskij, Bulgakov, Tondelli, Palahniuk, Baudelaire, Jodorowski.
About movies and music, I'm open to anything, just be sure it has a soul!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, wow, this is hard.
Maybe that one time when I..
Guess you'll have to ask in person, you wouldn't believe it anyway, ha ha
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm pretty fluent in english and could be a decent teacher, that is also true for italian obviously. I'll gladly share my cooking recipes (i just LOVE cooking), and if you feel like to, I can share a precious controller and my vintage videogame collection (lol).
I'd love to learn some basics of spanish, german and greek.
