About Me

Bonjour! We are on a mission to travel Africa without airplanes, but with a lot of time to get in touch with local cultures and people.

Nicola, 27, has just finished his engineering degree, but realized it’s too early to sit around in boring offices yet. Instead, he wants to see more of this beautiful planet and its inhabitants. He’s slept on quite a few couches already and would love to do it for the first time in Africa.

Lia, 21, used to compete in hurdles before she discovered the surfer lifestyle and started traveling like crazy. She’s still brand new to Couchsurfing and can’t wait to experience living like a local.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am traveling solo and depend on your help to make it an authentic and awesome experience. I've already had the luck to meet many fascinating travelers and have become addicted to hearing their stories. Back home at my place, I will try my best to return the favor to incoming travelers.

Interests

Everything except for guns, beauty products and celebrity gossip. No seriously, I've always had problems with restricting myself to a limited number of topics as my interest spans basically everything existing on our planet and beyond.

Music, Movies, and Books

Sound: Indie and Electronic music move my head while Cumbia moves my hips. Film: Can’t wait for the next Christopher Nolan movie to air. In the meanwhile, I make sure to see as many independent Arthouse movies as my schedule allows. Literature: I’ll read practically everything except for self-help books. The Catcher in the Rye could be my phony biography. It really could.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For some reason my Mexican friends can't believe that I've lived and worked in Ciudad Juárez - formerly very dangerous city - for two months.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could definitely talk to you and help you with your English or German. Myself, I am currently improving my Spanish and would prefer conversing in that language.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can supply you with funny, thought-provoking and interesting talks. Moreover, I'm always glad to help you wash dishes or invite you for dinner in return for a bed to sleep. I consider myself a very clean and orderly person that will treat your place with due respect. Also, I love chatting over a decent beer and dance to your local music but never seek the excess.
