About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Take over the world... I MEAN travel the world.
ABOUT ME
I love independent travel; exploring new places, meeting new people, trying new foods, and all the other great things that come with going on adventures.
I am an Illustrator and Designer, i live in a converted (and slightly unfinished) warehouse, i enjoy the ideas and possibilities (and sometimes challenges!) that present themselves when living in interesting spaces.
I'm a clean and tidy person, i respect other people's belongings as well as my own and would like to think I'm a friendly and polite human being. I love having people stay at my house and visiting others so enjoy being both guest and host. I think the most important thing as a guest is when someone makes you feel comfortable and at ease, warm greetings and attention to detail go a long way. As a host i enjoy showing people all my favourite local spots and taking them to places they wouldn't have the chance to go as a regular tourist.
PHILOSOPHY
I guess... I see life as a series of experiences and events, you are only going to get out what you put in. All those friends, photos, memories, laughs, adventures, lovers, will only be yours if you are the type of person that searches for them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am now a fully-functioning member of couch surfing, have been using it as i travel around the states and so far i have met some amazing people. Hopefully i can pay all this kindness forward once i have stopped traveling and have a couch to offer!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'd never actually used the Couch Surfing website until this trip, but had stayed on my share of friends and friends of friends couches in my time. I have not had one bad experience couchsurfing yet and think it is the best way to travel! Staying in hostels i only meet other Australians, couchsurfing lets you meet locals, go to places other tourists wouldn't visit and immerse yourself properly in the culture of where you are staying. I think it is a brilliant idea.
Interests
I've always been interested in all types of art and design, or anything creative. I don't watch much TV or many movies, i prefer to read if i have the time. My friends and family complain about my unhealthy interest in zombies, go figure.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I'm awful with movies, ask me if i've seen your favourite and i'm fairly sure i'll be ashamed to admit i've never seen it.
Music: I like a wide variety of music but mainly rock/pop/indie/folk. My favourite artists are Devendra Banhart, The Tallest Man on Earth, Iron & Wine, The Veils, The Drones, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Joanna Newsom, Junip, Tame Impala, Vetiver, Modest Mouse, etc.
Books: I enjoy books about travel and stories that follow lifestyles in other cultures, but i am still a sucker for old fashioned murder mysteries.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably more than i'd care to remember!
I've been skydiving in the UK which comes to mind when i think of the word 'amazing'. The breathtaking (literally) views of anywhere from above i am generally amazed by.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching? i suppose i'm a fairly decent illustrator/artist if anyone wants any tips :)
Learning? I want to learn another language, preferably Spanish or French.
Sharing? lets share food. lots of delicious types of food.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've been told I make a mean jug of Pimms! And I'm good for a laugh :)
