I would say that what makes me the happiest is travelling. I deeply enjoy the moment in which I get to know new places and new people from all over the world. I believe that in order to live a happy life, I must collect the most experiences that I can, and enjoy the best of them. And definitely travelling is one of those experiences.

But travelling is not the only experience that I love... I love hanging out with friends, being outdoors, practicing sports, enjoying nightlife, trying new types of food, resting and relaxing with a quite and natural landscape, listening to music (I can't stop using Spotify), teaching things that I like, and the most important of all: laughing my ass off!!

I am from Uruguay, I have graduated as a Software Engineer, and from January to July 2018, I was doing an exchange semester in Lisbon, Portugal thank to an agreement with my University. I loved so much Lisbon that I got a job here, came back in October 2018, and so I am now currently living in the city! (Until July I will be in Amsterdam for work though) So far, it has been and incredible experience, and I am looking forward to know a lot of countries and people from Europe!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have known Couchsurfers who stayed at some friends' houses, and I saw how wonderful their experience using Couchsurfing was. The way in which they could get in touch with local people, and share their cultures seemed to be so much fun and exciting, that from that moment on I became determined to be a Couchsurfer some day!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Into the wild, 1984, La Sociedad de la nieve, Muzungu Blues (this two are Uruguayan books)

Music: lots of rock and uruguayan music. But to name some well known bands that I like: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Creedence Clearwater Revival, AC-DC, Foo Fighters.

Movies: Inception, Brimstone, The village, and others which I can't recall right now!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would say that in my trip to Cancun and Playa del Carmen, Mexico, I lived the best experiences: snuba-diving in a Cenote, snorkel in a reef in Cozumel Island, and swimming with dolphins!

I guess that another amazing thing was taking a roller coaster ride in Parque de la Costa, Buenos Aires... I was totally freaked out!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I haven't travelled to many countries yet, but I am willing to share with other Couchsurfers my experiences in those countries.

Also, I know my birth country (Uruguay) is not that well known in the world, so I want to tell everyone about Uruguayan culture and how it is like to live in my country!

Have you ever tried the bitter beverage called "mate"? Its a very popular Uruguayan tradition and definetely our national beverage! I will probably be carrying one with me, so meeting me can be your chance to try Uruguayan mate!
