About Me

Bonjour everyone,

I am a French-German citizen, I lived in Paris for 10 years and have now landed in Berlin. I discovered couchsurfing a few years ago, when I went to Serbia with some friends. We had a great experience, meeting up with lovely locals. I would like to travel across Europe this summer and would therefore like to use Couchsurfing again.
I like traveling, speaking foreign languages (I especially enjoy speaking Italian, though it's a bit rusty). I like to cycle and discover new places and nature in general.
Basically, I am really about meeting other people. I like to get to know how people live and think about life. I am very open for all types of convictions and life designs, and always curious to learn more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I really enjoy meeting new people. I was on Couchsurfing a few years ago, and hosted quite a few interesting people when I lived in Paris. You never know what you get, but the spirit is always good and I like to host people with a bottle of wine!
I enjoy the fact that encounters are so diverse every time. I have hosted older folks and younger people, couples and single travelers, it really doesn't matter to me as long as there is respect and curiosity to meet and exchange with somebody you don't know.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a big reader. My latest discovery is Kindle, which allows me to take a lot of books when I travel ;) I especially enjoy the classics, like Mann, Schiller, Kafka or Zola and Balzacq. But I also like the more modern literature, for instance, I have read quite a few books by Haruki Murakami (very bizarre sometimes but I really like his writing) and Daniel Kehlmann (I liked the latest one, Till, particularly).

I play a lot of music and I really enjoy going out listening to concerts. I play the clarinet and the trumpet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have traveled across Bosnia with a music band I played in at the time.
It was the most incredible experience, playing in remote mountain villages in garages, enjoying peoples`s hospitality. It made me discover the Balkans and the local music and spirit. Absolutely loved it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I speak French and enjoy speaking it with other people. Having grown up in Hessen, I know a bit about German culture, history and literature.

Learn: I like to improve my Italian. I like to learn from guests I host. I would love to become better at improvisation in music (solos)

Share: Languages. Listen to music together, go to concerts with friends.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A nice apartment in Berlin, a good hospitality. A calm courtyard, a nice neighborhood, nice musician friends.

Countries I’ve Visited
