About Me
Travel addict who’s not fine without a project in mind or a camera in my hand ! I always try to find special interests in my travels : I try to connect my travels to literature or history.
Lately I have also been trying to travel the ancient way : taking my time, using planes only when necessary : along the Silk Road through Caucase and Central Asia to China, all the way up the Amazon river, from Belem (Brazil) to Quito (Ecuador), all the way up the Nile river, from Alexandria (Egypt) to Khartoum (Sudan), the Orient-Express from Paris to Istanbul and then Iraq… My last travel has been in another dimension: Papua-New-Guinea. Incredible, I had never seen such a welcoming and charming people 🤩
I always have travel projects in mind, and try to do them locally, meeting people being the real interest of travelling. Discovering their day-to-day routines, what they like and want to share.

Music, Movies, and Books
Everything that makes me dance or enjoy the moment. From Pink Floyd to Cigarettes after Sex, from Bach to John Williams, from Louis Armstrong to Overwerk...
Always reading something. Right now it’s Paul Auster, Nietzsche and some roman history.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Guatemala. A few years ago. I went to work at an archaeological project in the jungle. Discovering my first buried-under-trees-pyramids after a 2-day 4x4 trip... was beyond magical ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach history of course...but also climbing, freediving and my speciality : italian ravioli <3
