About Me
Hello :)
my name is Nicolas. I'm 23 years old and a german student taking a break from studying and travelling through Canada with my backpack. I touched down in Vancouver in mid April and have been living in a hostel as I preferred having a base in order to plan my trip. Now I'd like to move from living in a hostel to couchsurfing as I'm a very social and open-minded person and hope to make friends while getting around in Canada. However, I want to experience the nature in order to have that balance between the life in the city and seeing the nature.
In 2006 I already spent a couple of weeks in Québec, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto as me and my family went to Canada for holidays. Im sure that the trips we used to do left a deeply rooted sympathy for Canada which is why I'm back now :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've heard about Couchsurfing due to my sister who used it to get around in Vancouver when she was visiting Canada a couple of years ago. Since then, I've always liked the idea of getting to know a country and its culture by spending time with locals and using their couch for the night :D
As I'm just starting to get experience in couchsurfing I'd like to see if it is an option for me to offer my couch for other travellers coming to Germany after my own year abroad now.

Music, Movies, and Books
I cannot specify what it is that makes me enjoying certain music. I like music where I can sing to, but sometimes I don't want to sing and I just listen to music having certain beats, rhythms or melodies that I like. (Sometimes I used to spend quite some time on youtube in order to find good new songs)
here are some bands and artists that I like: Rudimental, Imagine Dragons, One Republic, Ed Sheeran, Sia, Eminem, Chainsmokers, Seeb, (too many)
When it comes to Movies, I'm more likely to be a geek. So I loved Interstellar and Inception as they were movies that I thought about a lot and even was rewatching them as they simply blew my mind.
Harry Potter, the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit I really like as well as I was "raised" by them. I used to read all the Harry Potter books and the movies I was watching all the time.
But in general, liking movies is the same thing as liking music: there has been a time where I've been watching a bunch old american mafia films, then there was a time as well when I loved watching science fiction. So if I have a certain genre that I like, its changing all the time :D
Oh i forgot about Star Wars. I love Star Wars.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
saving a marriage
but in my opinion, the small things overweigh the big things :D At least this is how I try to live my life (so .. I kind of hope that I'm right :D)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach playing the guitar or show you how to cook "german style" :D I'm quite good in webdesign and programming as well so if this is something that you want to learn I can help you :) I'm quite good as well in photo editing so if you're interested in this kind of art as well: let's do it together. I know some tricks.
But in general, as I'm very open and interested in nearly everything, I can show you how I live my life and how I do stuff. Vice versa, please show me how you do stuff so that we can learn from each other :) Here I consider the beginning of the sharing aspect of couchsurfing. If you find the time, let's buy even stuff together and have a nice meal or do some hiking, cycling or other outdoor activities together :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my opinion, give you impressions of places I've already been to, teach you my language, help you with stuff for example doing stuff in your garden :'D so as you see: a bunch of things
So basically, I can share with you my values, dreams and ideas :)
